Great wok! …. And it gets better!

I've had this wok for a long time and I love it! It was great when I first got it and it only gets better as I use it. When I received it I watched Mandy's YouTube video on how to spice up my new wok. I followed her very detailed directions on how to season it and followed her directions on how to further care for it. The older the nonstick coating gets, the bigger it gets. I always wash my wok with hot water after use and then reheat to dry it completely and then rub the inside with a hard…

I really wanted to like this wok.

Update (in 1 hour): I rewatched the video of this wok and decided to give it another boost. $50+ is a lot to just throw away. Also, there are disclaimers for the nonstick coating, as in my experience it still burns easily and sticks no matter the temperature. It was a workhorse. The hammer marks on my old wok are there to hold the food you want to pull out of the hot center while you add more ingredients or reduce the sauce. The hammer hits on this new wok from Souped-up-Recipes are more obvious and should serve the same purpose even better. They are made by hand, not…

Yes haters, this is a good wok

I never leave product reviews, but I have decided to leave a review on this particular wok because I have seen few negative reviews: mainly due to inattention or general lack of knowledge about the proper care of a carbon steel wok. For this reason I almost gave up buying this wok: but what I liked about it is 1. reasonable price; 2. an in-depth tutorial video on seasoning on the Mandy's Souped-up Recipes youtube channel, 3. the ability to remove the wooden seasoning handle, and 4. a great lid…
