This magnifying glass is junk. The lens is plastic, even though the description says it's glass, and it distorts the image terribly. Also has a terrible range of motion on the extension. It hardly moves and the light fluctuates. Stay away and buy a quality magnifier.

I bought this to use when painting details on ceramic. A magnifying glass really helps with detail work. The base is heavy and will not tip over. My only issue with this product is that it doesn't come with a clamp to attach it to the side of a table/bench. I don't want to return all of this, but would like to be able to contact the seller to send the clip.

This is a replacement lamp that I have used for many years. It's small and doesn't take up much space, and a magnifying glass is great for working on something very small. Sometimes biofocals just don't work. The fluorescent lamp does not emit much glare and perfectly illuminates the entire keyboard and desktop. I have found that these cone lamps only illuminate a small circular area. I'm just glad they still make these lamps.

Bought one for my desk and was so impressed I bought one for my sewing machine. Certainly makes it easier to see the arrow! UPDATE 12/01/20: Bulbs on both bulbs blew out within three months. I figured only one lamp could be the father, but the second went out around the same time. I hope the bulbs are interchangeable; If not, at least the magnifying glass still works, but I'd better pool the money and buy a bigger lamp.

This is my second copy of this product. The first one is about 15 years old and the bulb cover dried out and fell apart and the magnifying glass cover came loose because I broke it. The light is amazing and is great for fixing things I can't easily see and helps with reading the fine print on labels. It had a strong, heavy base, or you could attach it to a table. Excellent goods. I have to say I would buy it again because I did.

I've had the lamp for 7 months now, I use it quite often. Today the lightbulb burned out and it started smoking. I quickly turned it off and placed the lamp in the sink. Worried it's a fire hazard. I have had two previous versions of this lamp and on each lamp (all three) the tabs on the plastic lens cover broke easily even with careful handling. I really like the concepts of this lamp, I just wish you could make it more reliable and safe. My other two lamps lasted much longer.

Good light. While it burns Bought to replace one I've had for years that I never had a problem with until I threw it off the table and broke the magnifying glass. Ordered a replacement, delivered quickly. Then, as the name suggests, it worked for a total of 32 days (I think it knew when its return period ended) and then stopped working without warning. Wanted to turn it on and nothing. I think I need to consider buying a better product to replace this piece of hardware.

I looked through dozens of similar lamps and looked for the best value for money. Needed a light for a shop bench and wasn't really looking for a magnifying lamp but figured for the price why not. either broken or not working. I didn't have such problems. I can't comment on the function of the table clamp (alternative method of attachment), but using the base option gives excellent results - the base is quite heavy and doesn't tip over when the gooseneck is inverted. -located.
