The suit material is very stretchy and softer than polyester suits due to the Lycra content. However, it works very little. It's understandable that you'd want these jammers to work tight for competition, but it was so tight it would compress them. For reference, he is 6 years old and wears a size 6 top and bottom. I bought him a size 22.

I wish there was a normal size S/M/L but I read the reviews and bought what I think should work. My son is 8 years old but he wears size 10 clothes because he is so tall but very slim. When I buy a size 10 the length fits but the waist doesn't. I bought these in size 28 and they fit him perfectly! I believe they are a size 8 for boys.

Speedo undoubtedly have some of the highest quality swimwear around. My problem is the size chart which is very inaccurate. Our 8 year old is very skinny but the sweater we bought is too tight (yes we know a tight fit helps with competitive swimming but this size was very wrong). It was ok for the completed training season but will have to buy a new pair for next year.

When purchasing a jammer, pay particular attention to child and adult sizes. I had no idea there were 28 young and 28 (adults). I bought these 28 juniors and couldn't understand why they didn't fit my son. He needs an adult 28 years old. :) The suit itself is good and I would recommend it to those who need a youth silencer for both training and competition.

My son swims an hour and a half a day three times a week. Despite the fact that the product description states that this muffler lasts 10 times longer, this is not true. At the end of the third month of use, the jammer expired. It has lost its color and fiber structure. It became loose and baggy. Just so you know, we've followed the manufacturer's instructions for maintaining and caring for the swimsuit.

Fit is good but after 2 months they have COMPLETELY faded. Bought black, now they are light grey. The material on the back seam is so faded that it looks like it's showing through. You need to buy another pair before the swimming competition in 5 days. UPDATE - they actually show through the back seam instead of fading. To my horror, I noticed this while my son was swimming! Absolutely terrible. How embarrassing for him. If I could give zero stars I would. I want my money back.

This item was well packaged but please note these sizes do not fit Speedo swim shorts. I have made sure to refer to the Speedo.com website to ensure we have the correct size for a size 10 boy. They have arrived and probably won't fit for 5 or 6 years. I've read some complaints that the speedometer is too big and I should have bought a different brand. Last purchase from Speedo. This is not a claim against the seller/carrier, so be aware.

I know the muffler is supposed to be like a second skin but it's too small. My 10 year old is skinny. He weighs 69 pounds with a 24 inch waist. So I got the 24" after reading all the reviews. When I open it I know it won't fit. In fact it won't fit a child over 2 years old. I bought another size 10 Speedo ( Speedo 7475114 Boy's Learn To Swim Jammer) and it fits perfectly. I took several pictures of both. Be sure to check before you order this.
