If you have a master and you go all in on that system, why not?

I have two to get all Sharpmaker features. They're relatively cheap, considering. If you're using Sharpmaker as your primary system, they're great for getting even finer, more precise bevels. You get a decent polish on the edge, which is a great spin primer to get you closer to a mirrored edge. It is necessary? absolutely not. Is it nice to have her? I think so. Definitely worth the money. I had issues, mostly user error, being too lazy to keep the angle (yes, even with Sharpmaker) and my micro

These sticks are great! An excellent addition to the Sharpmaker system. Some of my knives are now "scary" sharp. However, there are a few things to consider. You need the right technique. The quality of the steel also matters, these sticks are very thin so they don't help much when used on low quality steel. These sticks don't remove much steel, they sharpen or polish your edge. Price I paid less than $35 for two sticks - stones from Arkansas or Japan in the same grit/mesh/micron range are more

Worth every penny - Hand Tools

I have a Sharpmaker and the included white stone gives all knives a nice sharp edge. This stone takes it to the next level. In use, the difference is very noticeable - knives become razor sharp when used correctly. I could shave with my Delica if I wanted to. I've only ordered one and it's going to be a "pain" to use in the future, so I'm going to get another one to use in Sharpmaker. I'm glad I read the reviews as they match them. I've never had a knife that sharp. I'm not very good at that so
