I am a teacher. Over the years this has been the best hand sharpener I have seen. Also, it's quiet. Don't interrupt the lesson with a manual or electric sharpener!

This is the only pencil sharpener I use. I am a classically trained teacher and musician and use pencils all the time. Trust me I've tried them all, both mechanical and electrical. And it sharpens well all the time and doesn't tilt the pencil.
