First impression: so shiny I thought it was carbon steel, should it be more matte? Seems heavier than expected as the product description says 7.8 ounces. I weighed it and it's 10 ounces. I cut watermelon and eggplant. Cuts well! Surprised! I bought it thinking it would be easier, but it works fine. Good knife!

Nice knife. We will make a great gift for my nephew. Easy to hold. This is a replacement for a knife that was delivered 2 days ago. One had a chipped blade and the package was smaller than what I received today, some of the packaging was missing. I'm glad the replacement showed what a real knife really is.

Very good carving knife. Good price! It's not a heavy-duty chopper, but it should be able to handle anything the home cook might need. Weight and balance just right. super sharp. The 15 degree blade angle is the preferred angle for professional chefs. Great attention to detail, especially with the handle. It comes in a nice gift box and as my knife block doesn't have a slot for a cleaver I'll use it to keep it in as it's well padded.

This is my favorite knife. I would buy it again with great pleasure. I haven't tried cutting bones with it, but I've used it for pretty much everything else. The knife stays sharp and feels good in the hand. I have several much more expensive knives, but I keep coming back to this one as my favorite. This knife is reasonably sharp and looks fantastic. I've used it a few times and haven't felt the need to sharpen it since the first use, but I know it needs sharpening once I start slicing more meat than veggies. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 for agility is because my mom finds it difficult to use. I'm by no means a chef, but I cook a lot for myself and personally don't find it impossible to maneuver. I was concerned the size wouldn't be large enough to use one side for transfer, but that fits - the other side was too big and heavy to handle properly.
