NO OKAY, MY 5.9L CUMMINS IS OVERHEATING.

Manufactured by MotoRad, not Stant. Very bad quality. The 180* t-stat starts to open at 180 when idling but runs hotter than my 195 with every use. This is my third 180 t-stat in 6 months since they stopped working and my 2004 5.9 liter -Cummins overheated while towing. Just to check, I've been riding without a T-Stat for a couple of weeks and it didn't go over 205* at full throttle and 25kg. And pumped up to 600 hp/1300 ftlb on wheels. Normal driving with overheating t-stat 180. Not good.

The first two I replaced were O'Reilly's and not the Stant brand. Those two other branded thermostats were rubbish. Now that everything is in order, I can lug into the mountains where I live without worrying…

Keeps me and my engine cool

When towing a truck, I found that towing heavy loads or headwinds for a period of time would quickly overwhelm the cooling system. I installed it and wasn't too thrilled at first. This thermostat first opened at 185 degrees and didn't show much promise. On a recent trip where I hauled a heavy load for about 40 hours in less than a week, this thing definitely made a world of difference. I had already installed an upgraded water pump from newer trucks, and throughout the trip the highest temp I…
