High quality and beautiful appearance. This works well with our Lyra colored pencils and graphite pencils. I found that I didn't mind leaving it because the design is beautiful.

This is a nice sharpener. Practical, well made. I have two of these: one for home, the other for work! Previous reviews have said that changing the blade isn't difficult. I haven't done it yet. Excellent purchase.

It's expensive. But I wish I had bought this one from the start instead of wasting money on some other sharpeners that were difficult to use or broke after a short while. Blades are interchangeable. All of this is made of solid wood and metal so it will last a long time. It's the perfect size and shape for little hands (and grown-up hands too). My 8 and 6 year olds can sharpen unaided and my 2 year old is actually very good at it! It catches the chips so you can easily carry it in your backpack
