Excellent sharpening stone for professionals

This soaking stone will help you sharpen even the dullest knives, thanks to its coarse and fine sides. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can guarantee that this is one of the best sharpening stones available. It's easy to use and provides a smooth and sharp edge within a short period. One of the only cons is that it can be difficult to store due to its larger size.

Pros
  • Excellent sharpening ability, easy to use, durable
Cons
  • Large size makes storage difficult

Naniwa quality at half the price.

Cuts hard steel quickly and wears out slowly. I use it to sharpen knives, planes and chisels before polishing. Makes blades terribly sharp with ease.

Pros
  • Material: Ceramic
Cons
  • Damaged

Excellent value for money and quality. Easy to use. Not super soft.

Great stone. Only a short soak is required to prepare it for use. Dries gently and in a relatively short time. Easily cuts most steels. Leaves a great edge for the kitchen or everyday use, cutting yarn or even hunting. Not for soft or hard dirt, if you will.

Pros
  • Weight: 900 g (31.75 oz)
Cons
  • Very expensive
