Disappointed Best in Kitchen & Dining

This cutting board is the correct size but when I received this board it was covered in black mold on the back and front of the board. I was very disappointed in the packaging was inadequate. I would not recommend buying this board unless you go to the manufactory that makes this board and choose the one you want. Because what you see in the Revain image is not what you see visually.

Best Cutting Board

Got this today and had to try it. It's the best feeling of any cutting board I've ever had. Very hard and heavy. The sliced food lies on a perfectly stable, solid work surface and makes slicing a pleasure. Very nice but with 2 dents. I'm not refunding for 2 small dents but I see someone else could spend £120 on a cutting board. After 4 years of use, there are practically no traces left. End grain teak is the way to go.

Nice! on cutting boards

This is a really nice cutting board. I added rubber feet to the bottom to avoid scratching the tabletop. It's a bit thicker than I wanted but the wood is just amazing and I'm leaving it on the counter because it looks so good. When I received it I sealed it with beeswax and it has absorbed really well. It's so pretty, to be honest, I almost hate using it as a cutting board. A bit expensive, but very stable and heavy. Handles notched on both sides are very comfortable to move considering the…

Why spend three bills on a maple when you can just buy one?

I didn't want to drop three bills on the maple board. In addition, many good things have been said about teak. Also, this company claims to use eco-friendly wood grown on their own farm. So I took a chance and won! This board is great. It really is furniture for your kitchen. And when your freshly sharpened high-end knives touch this board, you can almost feel the grain of the wood clinging to the edge without dulling it. Teak aroma comes out here when chopping, which is very pleasant. The fit…

Ideal size Compromise

The quality is very good. The size is large enough if you are used to a cutting board with a very large surface (think commercial size). Very thick if that's what you like. Yes, but for those used to the lighter, smaller boards typically found in the average apartment, cleaning can be a bit of a hassle. Additionally, if you're short, its thickness raises the cutting surface noticeably and clearly above the counter it's standing on. If you can live with those things, I highly recommend this…

Looks great apart from a small repaired crack on the top

Okay, maybe I'm just doomed to actually get a quality product from ProTeak. My last one had a small thin circular saw groove cut into the TOP of the damn thing. It has a clear renovation made to it. A small, thin, wedge-shaped piece of wood was cut and carefully inserted into what appears to be a small crack in the top edge of a cutting board. Why? Who knows. If the block came loose due to poor drying or manufacturing technology and QC actually FINDS it - why the heck is it still being sold as…

Beautiful, heavy, stable end board

I received this cutting board just yesterday, oiled it and used it once. It's everything I wanted and more. It's great that ProTeak has found great use for teak trimmings so that the reduced cost is passed on to the consumer. I calculated how much it would cost me to make such a board out of new teak and found that at only $114 this board was a lot cheaper than I could have built it. There was a bug that has been fixed, but other than that it's perfect for slicing veggies or cooked meat. Anyone
