Non genuine carburetor and replacement part

This is not a genuine Tecumseh part and is a Stens aftermarket replacement. A new seal is not supplied as advertised. It fits the models listed and works great as a replacement, but required some adjustments to get it running smoothly at full throttle. The motor kept cutting out when a load was placed on it, but I was able to adjust the screws to compensate. Still works perfectly after three years.

  • Automotive
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Tecumseh HSK-70 carburetor

Purchased and installed this carburetor as recommended in my Toro 724 owner's manual. Did not idle well and did not perform well in WOT. I used the speedo to try to get it set right after letting it warm up for a while. After more than 2 hours of fumbling I gave up. Installed the kit into a factory carburetor and my almost 30 year old Toro ran like new again. Does not come with an inlet gasket as shown and is a replacement Stens carburetor. Not part of Tecumseh. Submitted for return.

Very good product but NO seal as shown!

This was a great snow thrower replacement part that I got for free and wouldn't have kept running if I hadn't sprayed starter fluid or gasoline directly into the carburetor. Since it wasn't getting any gas, I knew it was something in the carburetor itself and I could buy it for little more than a repair kit, so I decided to do it. If I could rate this a 3.5 I would because when I removed the old carburetor the gasket broke and the picture of this new one clearly shows the gasket as part of this
