Just like the ones Gra'ma used.

Great girth and weight (very light). Extremely easy to use and gives you far more control over the thickness of what I roll out. I bake a lot and miss that old pin. I had to treat it well with coconut oil before using it, but it's better if I do than treat it with something I don't know. And it is certainly a very good gift for those who love to bake. Very satisfied. And it arrived at an excellent time too.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Hard to say

By far my favorite rolling pin

I have had many rolling pins over the years but this one is perfect for my needs. I like that it's a good weight and size to work with dough. Ease of use and flat ends make upright storage a great option. I often bake and leave it upright in the baking corner in the kitchen. The large length made it possible to reduce the number of settings of the roller for rolling out the dough. Cleans wonderfully. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Kitchen Utensils

Gifted to my friend who loves to bake. He was looking for something very specific. Most rolling pins either have handles on the end or are tapered. He wanted a solid piece of wood, straight, with no handles to control the batter better (tip from Paul Hollywood for all British Baking Show fans). He loved it. Good length and width. The only comment is that it is not so easy to clean because it is written that it cannot be washed because it is made of wood. But it's because you want it to stay…

Perfect for my needs!

A part of me told me to go to one of the big stores and buy a dowel, cut it out, sand it well and then use some sandpaper on it and I said no. Too much trouble for a rolling pin! I bought it and although the measurements were in the description, it's a lot bigger than I expected. Unlike some of the other reviewers here, mine was very smooth and ready to go. I just wiped it down with microfiber and started. I don't bake much, but I make a lot of pasta. I like to use this to roll pasta dough to…

The best rolling pin I've ever used!

When I was growing up, my mother was always in the kitchen and we always had wooden rolling pins, just with handles. When I was growing up I decided to follow the new trends and bought marble and plastic and it was awful! I decided to give it a try and let me tell you it rolled out my dough with such ease. I brushed it lightly with olive oil before using, and while rolling it out it didn't stick to the dough. It was easy to just wipe with a dry cloth after use to remove excess flour and then…

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Unfinished product with wood too poor quality for this

I worked in the kitchen so maybe I'm expecting too much. But. This rolling pin needed **a lot** more sanding (see pics), it was so soaked in mineral oil that it was clearly too dry to last long, and could well have been a great product with better quality control. Even after soaking in ounces of edible mineral oil, this rolling pin still felt very rough. As you can see from the photos, there were significant imperfections on the finish. What turns me on is that defects are not a natural…
