Worth it Computer accessories and peripherals

The cable works great and the quality is good. It's a bit tight and cumbersome to wrap/handle (because of the optical material I think) but that doesn't really bother or get in the way. I didn't measure the speed, but I didn't notice any loss in speed when archiving or transferring the several terabytes of photos that regularly go through this cable. I also noticed positively that the plugs do not get as hot as with a normal Thunderbolt cable. My only real complaint would be the price, but no…

It was an incredible 23 days.

This is actually the very first review I've written for a product on Revain. I'm a professional re-recording mixer and one of the challenges is removing noisy disk arrays and/or hard drives from my mixing environment - I use an Imac so the computer is in the studio. This cable, although expensive, seemed to solve my problem. I've read reviews of people having cable issues, and to be honest I dismissed it as the standard "there's a problem between the chair and the keyboard" scenario. This is…

UPDATE 5-20 I'm working on my third kit. They last about 2 years before becoming intermittent. The manufacturer claims that the electronics get hot because no heat sink is specified for T2 cables. So, as recommended, I installed a fan at each end. Unfortunately, over time the cable became unreliable - it would randomly connect and disconnect from my OWC dock, causing the monitor attached to it to disconnect. As much as I love the length - and when they work, they're great - be prepared to swap…

    Didn't Work - Thunderbolt Cable

UPDATE: After my negative cable review, I was contacted by a Corning manufacturer who offered to personally verify that the cable had been replaced and guaranteed the cable to be 100 % was compatible with my cable Hardware. I just received a replacement cable and it really works. So I'm changing this rating from 1 to 5 stars. not only for the product but also for the company behind it and for the exemplary customer service that Mitch at Corning provided me. Corning has earned my loyalty and…

    2018 edit in a few years -

edit 2017*** From 5 stars to 2 because we stayed almost 2 years. We originally bought in 2016 review below. Unfortunately, the cable is accidentally defective. Nothing changed, he just went to work and he died. It's disappointing that we never suspected the cable. We spent several hours troubleshooting a disk array that turns on and off randomly (it turns out this happens based on the received signal). They shouldn't just die for a few hundred bucks. I'm assuming the circuitry that translates…
