There is no vacuum in this container. The lid is held in place by a seal. If you pull the lid off without breaking the seal, the vacuum won't break it. However, when the lid is on, the contents are at the same atmospheric pressure as outside the container. Also, only one of the three I ordered was delivered.

I buy coffee in bulk (3 pounds) from Costco and don't want to grind it every day. This product at Costco allows me to shred an entire bag and then transfer it into vacuum sealed containers. The coffee stays tasty and fresh for as long as I need it. What I save by buying coffee at Costco pays for itself very quickly on these containers. Great investment for coffee lovers.

First of all, it's amazing. However, if you sometimes have trouble imagining life-size items when shopping at Revain, like I do, you might be surprised at the size. It's quite large but has a good diameter so it fits very snugly without tipping over etc. It's really smell proof (until you open it folks then you can smell it and then close it again). great product The bottom doesn't seem to mind a slight drop, but the top will crack.
