I used this to connect a Pioneer S3 DJ mixer to a JBL Eon2 monitor for DJing. The cable is very thick and makes a robust impression. I used to buy cheap XLR cables and the rubber is not as thick as on this cable. Cheap XLRs are mostly not meant for heavy use, while this one seems to be able to withstand some pretty heavy use from a mobile DJ. I liked to use the cinch XLR plug for my DJ system. However, upon arrival everything looked normal. I connected it to my DJ DMX controller and then to my mixer. I did not receive anything. I was going to pull the pin end off the RCA side and a part came loose. I plugged it back into another mixer to find out where the short came from. I got a weak signal, about 20% of normal gain, forcing me to turn it up to get the right levels. I took the cable to move it and voila! it flooded my speaker…
