Terrible plastic anchors, save your money!

These anchors in the Anchors category of Fasteners fell short of expectations. After I put them to the test, they snapped and broke with minimal force. The only positive thing is that they are made from polypropylene, but it still doesn't make them a good product overall. I would not recommend these to anyone in the Industrial and Scientific field. There are much better options available.

Pros
  • Easy to install and use
Cons
  • Not as strong as metal drywall anchors

The wooden hanger isn't heavy and maybe adds another 8 ounces. static weight per anchor. About a year later, the hanger fell to the ground. The plastic on each anchor broke. The anchor was white where the plastic fatigued during the installation process (this is the correct installation: the…

The BEST drywall hanging option!

Finally, a drywall anchor that actually works! Too bad I didn't know about this sooner because they really work. I used up my first set and bought another one. Just a few things to note 1) You need to drill a pilot hole first and that leaves about 1/4 hole in the wall (this will be covered by the switch insert but make sure you don't have to drill holes first drill in the whole wall). 2) You need to make sure the wall is really hollow inside - for the switch to work it has to go through the…
