Dying or dull after about 2-3 weeks of the timer function, but looks beautiful

These little candles caught my eye because of the timer function. I love lighting tea candles for the holidays (starting with Halloween) and bought a dozen to try. I thought they looked so pretty so I bought a dozen more. Just so you know, yes, the battery will slowly drain over time with the timer function (I think it still gives off power very slowly because it's still in the "on" position). Already dead when arrived. Except one

Garbage. Customer service sucks, product is old. I was really looking forward to that. It wasn't until I opened the box that I noticed that many of them had a lot of dust accumulated around the flame. I'm pretty sure I bought them new. Why did they come already dusty IN THE BOX!? I ignored and followed the instructions to enable it before using the remote. All but one were already included. None of them work with the remote except this one. I checked the ones that didn't work and thought it was

Works great for my decorations

for my Halloween decorations from the ceiling and required a ladder to turn them on and off manually. I was a bit concerned by the reviews and the information included that said the battery drains quickly when the light is turned on and off with the remote control.
