My 8 year old son loves these boots - he says they are so comfortable and he loves the inner 'slipper' that fits inside the boot. I assume this will help a lot with the heat. The strap at the top of his boots is pretty tight, and with the winter pants he's tucked in, he'll be fine. He's been wearing them since they arrived last week, although we had no snow until this week. We live in Buffalo so we expect these boots to do the job and if they don't I will update my review accordingly!

These boots serve their purpose. They're waterproof, not too flashy with weird baby stuff, and well insulated. My biggest complaint is that the liner is removable, which might sound nice, but not great when paired with two kids under the age of 4. Both boys took off the food and hid it god knows where. The 3 year old also seriously complained that the lining didn't stay in place when trying to put these boots on (the lining pinched into the boot so he couldn't even put the boot on). the reason…

Been here in Minnesota for about 2 weeks in December. My 4 year old has wide feet and is choosy about the shoes and boots he wears due to the tight fit around his feet. Crocs made the most of their shoes. He wore these boots from day one and literally ran away. I wore them around the house at night. They are a hard rubber base with a flexible top.
