Delivered today. Just plug and play with USB after screwing in the antenna. The first sign of a problem was trying to load a driver because I don't have a CD drive. It took a lot of time; So I used my previous ASUS micro adapter to load the drivers. After installing the drivers and plugging the adapter back in, I ran a speed test and it only dropped 5Mbps. Edit: Okay soooo I feel pretty stupid for being pretty tech savvy but I missed that. My router broadcasts to two wireless networks - standard and 5g. Basically they are called "Standard-WLAN" and "Standard-WLAN_5G". You guessed it. Somehow my setup decided to connect to standard 10Mbps instead of 5G 600Mbps. At first I wasn't impressed with the TrendNet AC1900. The instructions were mediocre. The actual adapter seemed cheaper and more plastic. I ordered this to replace my Netgear wireless USB adapter and it was recommended by several websites and had pretty good reviews. The package arrived with no sign of external damage and I suspect no internal damage to the unit. I followed the basic installation instructions and installed the driver from the CD that came with it. My Windows 10 PC showed the device as 'working' in Device Manager, but the network settings showed that there were no available Wi-Fi networks in range. This is strange
