Broken and always leaking

I've had this reactor for 6 months now and 5 months in service. Now it is destroyed and no longer holds water. I will say this about the product, it did its job. just not for very long. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one for the simple fact that I used it as a chaeto reactor and not just a bio pellet reactor. I believe the cause of the failure was the daily changing of the heat. But still disappointing. Another aspect of this product that I didn't like was the difficulty in maintaining it…

Good product. good for filter

I bought this oversized reactor for my tank simply because I had a smaller 150 and wanted a larger one. First, I use activated carbon in this reactor, not phosbane. Ideally you can use any of these, I have two of these so I use Fosbane in the smaller and in the larger charcoal. Regardless of the name, both work well because even with one reactor you can run both media in it at the same time. It uses the updraft principle, where water is pumped through the thin transparent tube pictured and…

I've been running a 120 gallon miniature reef for 18 years and I've had a hell of a time with my phosphate levels. I have several major surgeons who love to eat, so every kibble seems to remind me of my next water change. The CPR skimmer does most of the hard work, but I settled on a phosphate reactor after talking to the guys at the new fish store I found. I set it up, which was very easy, and after two weeks of taking Fosban my phosphate levels dropped to zero. This will likely reduce the…
