PERFECT FOR SOLDERING COPPER

This three barrel Mapp/Pro torch is ideal for soldering copper up to and including 1 1/4" Type L. Possibly 1 1/2". , but may take a little longer. I got the hose for Mr. Heater and hooked it up directly to a 5 lb propane tank so I didn't run out of gas. I just soldered two boiler manifolds. This burner must be

Great for installing an air conditioner

This torch will get the job done. When soldering with copper, it heats up very quickly. The well heats up completely around the pipe. Aaac heating and air service. recommends this 3-tip flashlight. Be careful, it has a long flame. In daylight you don't always see the length. This is not good for tight spaces, such as B. fixing copper wires in an air conditioner. When operating the air conditioner, do not point it at the siding. Tip stays hot, allow to cool before removing.

Pros
  • The right choice for small jobs
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Broke after a few days. Poorly made.

Worked great for a few days but then something came loose in the burner and turned the swirl jet style flame into a soft lighter style flame. It still works if you shake the burner head a bit to get the parts in place, but after paying around $100 for it, I expect more. RMA'ing is how I type. I would advise anyone considering a purchase to only use propane as it appears that the heat from the Mapp-Pro gas we used was enough to expand the burner head to the point where the parts in the inside…

Pros
  • Runs on both propane and MAP//Pro
Cons
  • Quick Guide
