Carbide Cutter Tools for Acrylic and Hardwood Cutting - Uxcell Review

I was using an insanely slow feed and it took 2.5 hours to cut through 6061 aluminum on the first try without breaking a single one. Went up to 6mm. 4200 rpm 2.5 inches per minute. I think it was about 0.0003 fpt 0.04 doc. Make sure you have a good, wobble-free spindle, an accurate machine, and lots of patience. Sometimes getting the job done is more important than going fast.

It's always a pleasure to give a seller a positive rating when they deserve it. However, I'm afraid I'll have to do something different in this case. These are typically high quality forged and ground carbide end mills, so I was surprised they couldn't withstand the most forgiving cutting speeds (280mm/min) and such a shallow and forgiving depth of cut (0.0375mm). I'm in the process of returning them now.

These things are awful! I ordered 10 of these replacement parts to complete a project knowing I could get them quickly with Prime. Each only lasted about 3 feet cut. 001 doc at 20 frames per minute at 18,000 rpm. I pulled my latest good version of this (from Carbide Tool Source) and finished all my parts (over 180ft cut) with no problems. This is one of those cases where you don't even get what you pay for. Save money and buy good things.
