I like the idea but it doesn't work well.

The bottle is difficult to put together tightly (without breaking the cork) and this increases the height of the bottle to a point where it doesn't easily fit where a normal bottle would fit. Now I'll go with a regular cork. I like other Vacu Vin products but this one doesn't work for me.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works great to make the bubbles sparkle!

There are only good things to say about this plug. It's easy to use and won't pop out unexpectedly like other champagne corks. Once it's on and you lower the guard ring, that's it. Love the silver handle that lets you open the bottle for pouring - much less precious bubbles. This is a really great stopper.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Why didn't I create the best accessory for champagne lovers? Ye!?!

I liked it: EVERYTHING! Dislikes: Nothing! The best for champagne lovers! I buy one for my mimosa friends who love stretching the bottle over several days. I used to use my vacuum vin to seal bottles that were fine but nothing like that. It's easy to learn how to use, just read the instructions. I'll update the durability stars later after longer use - it'll be a workout!

Pros
  • Holding fists
Cons
  • Very expensive

I have one and it's great for keeping sparkling champagne open late. I like the spout so you don't have to remove the lid. Follow the installation and removal instructions to avoid damaging it. I damaged my first one by forcibly knocking it out, which was entirely my fault. I bought another one and kept the instructions as I don't use it every week and it has held up very well. I bought these two as gifts. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Not the best

Pairs perfectly with Veuve Clicquot

This product looks set to be a hit or miss depending on the champagne you buy. I used this on a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Non Vintage in New York and it was a perfect match; I'll try Moet next time. Moving the lever to the closed position creates a perfect seal. I left the bottle in the fridge overnight and not a drop came out. When you open a bottle you have a perfectly working wine dispenser. If you want a $50 bottle of champagne to stay fresh, it's definitely worth the money.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Weak Set

Great item, best in kitchen and dining room

This is my second. I had to replace another one because the guest broke it. I love that it doubles as a cork and filling. Keeps champagne sparkling. I highly recommend. I'm giving them away to the owner. I buy them from Revain because I can't find them anywhere. Excellent price. Update 2013: Hm. I thought the original was corrupted by a guest. On my third and you know what? They ALL flow. When pouring, the wine comes out from under the "seal”. Makes a mess. Now I mainly use them as corks and…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

The only filling machine that really works

We open at least one bottle of champagne a week, maybe more. I've had all kinds of plugs but this is the only one I really love. In fact, unfortunately, there is NO champagne stopper that fits ALL necks. They must own many brands, from narrow necks to thick necks. However, this nozzle will fit "most" necks, meaning it's somewhat standard. Be patient when installing the ring and sealing the drain hole tightly; You want it to be completely sealed. We NEVER finish a bottle of champagne in one…

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
