Installation is not easy or difficult

To install, remove the chip from your brand of toner and install it in a new universal toner. The chips are not designed to be removed that easily, so you must break the plastic holder and be careful not to crush or touch the chip. There are instructions but they are not very clear. But I could do it in a few minutes. Seems to be working fine. However, your printer application will keep telling you that you are low on toner, so it will be annoying and you won't know when the toner is really…

The product worked as advertised and at a good price.

Product works well, good value and quality finish. This "generic" cartridge costs at least half the price of a brand name cartridge and works just as well. The print is dark and clear. The toner fits perfectly and is immediately recognized by the printer. The printouts come out at the expected time. I print a lot and branded cartridges are just too expensive. It's not the cheapest, but worth the money. For a non-brand replacement, it's just as good as I've seen many different brands do. I've…

Works but requires patience.

The product works, but you need some patience and time to replace the chipset. The chipset slot in the product manual is different from the HP 58A slot. So I just researched the information on the internet and found the instructions on Youtube (just google "HP CF258A Chipset Replacement" and you won't miss the video). In addition to scissors, I used a hammer and a screwdriver to break the slot and pull out the chip. Otherwise, print quality is as good as HP OEM. Considering the price is only…

Do not buy! - Office electronics

Got this for my HP 404dn - planning ahead I ordered them before I ran out of ink so didn't have a return window - which is my fault I didn't check them. HP must know about a good deal without using their replacement. To use them you need to remove the small chip from the old cartridge and insert it into the new one. This is a complete joke, this will never happen, but don't worry they have the worst tweezers of them all to help you out! HP has bonded these chips so well that they cannot be…

They don't tell you that sticking the chip on the normal cartridge

HP is tricky. He installed a chip on the cartridges that made it impossible to print without it. And even smarter. Although this product is advertised, it comes with instructions on how to remove and install the chip, including tools. Please note that this tool is a pair of tweezers. The chip, at least in my case, was glued to the cartridge, making it impossible to remove it without destroying the chip. So don't be a loser like me. Since I hate paying huge bucks for HP OEM cartridges, I seem…
