This is the second time I order this product. The first time was great! No problems after I started everything. A large number of copies were printed, and they sold out for most of them. Excellent price / quality. This time, however, I only had to print two pages. I put in a new cartridge and not even a single page printed. I kept trying everything I could. This is the second time I have bought this brand of ink for my HP470 printer. The cartridges worked perfectly the first time. The second time, both cartridges stopped working about a week later. The printer started recognizing them as non-HP cartridges. I followed the instructions that came with the cartridges which said to clean the chip with the cloth that came with it, but that didn't work, nor did resetting the printer. The item (two packs of remanufactured HP 98 black ink cartridges) was received in good condition with no visible external or internal damage. We removed the empty cartridge 98 from the unit (HP4100 series printers) and followed the normal cartridge replacement procedure, then closed the access door. I bought this "valuetoner" 2-pack black ink cartridge instead of the more expensive HP black ink cartridge because I wanted to save some money by getting a "universal " instead of "brand name". I put the first cartridge in and printed 4 pages with no problems.
