Do not buy. - Butt Plates

This is my first bad review and I usually don't say anything when I get a bad product but I'm sick of Revain letting vendors sell junk. While these caps are good aluminum, whoever was in charge of processing allowed them to be drilled too deep. The bottom of the thread ends before the rubber seal can touch the top of the valve stem. Therefore, they will do nothing to stop the valve from leaking. This is a matter of common sense. I realized that as soon as I take them out of the bag, there will…

I keep swooning because they're so cool

If you're like me, you hate letting precious air out. I sucked it in and gosh::clapped my fist::I'm not letting go - Sorry I passed out again. Whatever the case, these valve stem caps keep my precious air where it belongs in my engine. I'm sorry, I passed out again. Plus they look great and will help you live your best life when you pull up for an air check because the attendants will see these fancy caps and know you're a baller even if you're sorry. Although you are tough, you cannot be…

Beware of seizures

Mechanical engineer, 38 years old. I've been driving for 44 out of 61 years. I have NEVER heard from a manufacturer that the consumer should apply a small amount of lubricant to the threads of the cap before and after each removal. This indicates that the manufacturer chose the wrong material and coating (if any) to prevent corrosion. Can someone say Minnesota? Undoubtedly, it was a cost-saving measure. Remember that aluminum will still rust. Not as fast and not as severe as iron/steel, but…

Great item in Accessories & Parts

We bought tire valve caps to replace the ones we lost from our 45ft 13ft quality A RV. Before we bought Valve-Loc tire caps, when we drove to our campsite, people marveled at the RV's size and beautiful paint job. We've noticed that people are now paying more attention to the valve covers. We heard comments like "Dude! These valve caps are so shiny and smooth! Where did you get that? Our motorhome with a 605 hp diesel engine. It used to be around 5-6mpg. Thanks to the sleek and innovative…

Excellent purchase! for barrel caps

It's nice! These are valve caps and nothing fancy, but they are all aluminum (no aluminum body with a plastic threaded insert). I'm sure the color will fade over time, but that's no big deal. I am sure they will still protect. 10 packs was perfect for us. 6 went to our RV and the other 4 went to a passenger van. And 10 for less than $10, the all-aluminum construction is a good deal. The only thing you probably need to consider is the size of the caps. They are slightly longer than normal car…

Not recommended - incorrect valve cover design.

Sorry but I cannot recommend these caps due to a design error. They sure look solid and are aluminum rather than plastic, but the overall thread length is just too long. If you try to thread them onto a regular or pressure-controlled tire valve, you will hit the end of the tire valve thread before the rubber seal in the valve cap can close. In this case, the valve cap will "catch” on the end of the tire valve thread and will be difficult to remove. Unless you can shorten them by about 1/8 inch…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Update available

The tire pressure sensor on the dash came on and as you might expect I decided to check my tires for pressure and to fill air through as needed. Only thing that didn't come off were the nice shiny valve caps I bought. I couldn't take them off with my fingers. I couldn't get them off with pliers. I could not remove them after spraying penetrating oil and anti-rust solvent on the threads and using two pair of pliers on the valve cover and valve stem. and sensor and reinstall them. I figured if I…
