Use anti-seize nuts whenever possible

I use these nuts on my 2010 Toyota Tundra. I greased the threads and the shoulder that goes through the wheel. Fits perfectly.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Be sure to buy good nuts

A few months ago I needed a nut for my tundra. I looked for parts stores, nothing. The dealer had one that cost me $15 😱 It's a lot cheaper πŸ‘

Don't buy these cleats

These cleats broke in half when tightened to vehicle spec at 90 ft-lb tire pressure, which isn't much. They are rubbish, you get what you pay for. Luckily it didn't break while I was driving my car and the tire came loose. If you bought these cleats you will find that your old cleats are thicker and better finished than these.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons

Poor quality product - cut off so wheel cannot be removed

Part of hat cut off. No one-piece design. I had to drill out and damage the rim in the process. Paid a higher price than similar products hoping for good quality. I would stay away from these. Cheap metal and two-piece construction is weak at the joint. No excessive torque used, the part was defective.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Very cheap and dangerous when fitted to a vehicle

I would not recommend this product to anyone I bought a set of 20 to fit my 2015 Tundra and when taking it to my local bike shop previously Even with manual torque applied, lugnuts failed and split in half. They have not been abused, they are very cheaply made. I hope no one has these on their car as failure of these lugnuts would be catastrophic in driving conditions.

Pros
  • Permanent test results

Dangerous nuts!

I bought this based on the good reviews. At first glance they appear to be of high quality, but this is far from the case. I used a torque wrench to tighten the eyelet to Toyota specs for the Tundra (97 lbs). The union nut has broken off at the base, as if made of plastic. They are extremely dangerous as they do not support the expected weight. The metal from which they are made is soft or defective. Don't put yourself or others at risk. Stay away from them.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Does not meet OEM specs

Bought with intention to use on 18" BBS alloy wheels (replaced with SR5 Tundra). Before installing these grommets, I threaded them onto the studs to ensure the thread pitch matched the OEM Acorn grommets previously used. Unfortunately, the thread pitch tolerance is not as tight/smooth as Toyota original lug nuts and they have poor thread engagement. I didn't turn on the dial indicator to see the deflection/play but I would guess it was 1mm - 1.5mm. If I were to use them, tightening them to…

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
