I tried this yesterday and it worked very well. I checked my tire, 30.5", 245/70/17, deflated to 20psi with my gauge. The pump connected to the tire and the pump gauge read 20psi. Turn it on and timed to pump the tire Inflating back to 36 psi It took about 2 minutes and 40 seconds to refill.The gauge on the pump reads about 2-4psi as it inflates the tire.When the gauge read 40psi square inches I turned on the pump off and it showed 36psi.. checked the tire pressure with my regular pressure…

Built-in pressure gauge is a suggestion rather than a measurement. I see no reason to have a pressure gauge that reads much more than 100psi when it is very doubtful the compressor will run that high. Most car/truck/bike tires are in the 30-40 psi range. Just received this and used it once. When I received it the front metal plate was badly bent, although the paintwork was fine, as was the manufacturer's box and the shipping box. This pretty much tells me that it was placed in a damaged box and the panel was probably bent before the product was even assembled as there isn't even a scratch on the paint around the damaged area.
