They are used to align gloves exactly how you want them. They are like a second layer of skin on your legs. I've worn them outside in snowy and winter weather with no problem and my feet were warm! I think they enhance my look when I wear them.

I had to put cotton on my last two toes. Because my fingers are not that long. They were a bit difficult to put on after the first few times but after a week or so it got a lot easier, I really like them, lots of comments and they are comfortable and fun.

The last 2 times I've ordered these shoes (I have about 10 pairs), they weren't even complete. The right shoe wasn't even fully sewn together and the sole of the left shoe had torn apart before putting it on. Identical defects on both pairs ordered end to end.
