I love Victorinox knives.

Excellent knives. They are indispensable in the kitchen. I have several Victorinox knives and this set fills the gaps pretty well in what I need.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Very expensive

Sharp knives in the cutlery and knife accessories section

These are the best knives I have ever had. What difference does it make that you can easily cut vegetables. I was a little disappointed that the sharpener did not come with any instructions and there were no care instructions for the knives. from and not from Victorinox.

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Victorinox kitchen knives

I bought these knives as my first "set" for my apartment and they are good. I would have preferred a shorter utility knife (it's the same length as a chef's knife), maybe 6 or 6.5 inches instead of 8, but that's not too bad. The paring and chef's knives are excellent. The grips are comfortable and the steel is quite thick (despite the perforation). I've been using these knives for several months with no problems. These aren't the cheapest knives, nor are they the most expensive, but I expect…

Best knives I've ever used

I saw these rave reviews on America's Test Kitchen and decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did. They came out nice and hot and stayed that way for a long time. They have excellent grip and are easier to sharpen than you might expect considering how well they hold an edge. This is the perfect set. I don't like big sets because they have a bunch of knives that you rarely (or never) use. I use these three knives almost every day. I still keep my other scrap knives so I have something to use…

My parents loved it

I gave it to my parents for Christmas and they love it. Mom bought some Chicago cutlery that was junk and Dad hated it. So I figured Dad needed a little set of real knives. They haven't broken the bank, but they are clearly professional tools. You can buy better, but you probably don't need to waste your money. Buy them, use them, enjoy them. Add a bread knife and you have all the cutlery you will ever need. They're light enough for mom to love, but they're made of high quality steel so dad can

these knives are no worse or even better than expensive tridents.

These are amazing knives. Cook's Magazine is absolutely right, these knives are just as good if not better than expensive tridents etc. I started out in the kitchen (many years ago) with a set of Chicago cutlery and got tired of wasting half the knives I sharpened and blunting them briefly after sharpening, and yes, I cut either wood or plastic (I make HDPE cutting boards specifically for these sharp knives). Chefs had advertisements for using this knife as the standard kitchen knife. It…

  • Something Different

I bought this Victorinox set as my first real set of knives. I've also purchased Shun and Calphalon chef's katana knives, so I checked out all three. The Victorinox was my first "real" chef's knife and it did very well for its money. I've used it to cut up every veg imaginable and used it for things I probably shouldn't have done, like slicing a lobster tail to remove the meat. It holds an edge very well but requires daily steelwork to keep the edge straight. I also sharpen it monthly to keep…
