You actually have to pull them out of the dress itself as they are just laid flat on the dress when delivered. But they come off easily. But I love this dress (blue with butterflies to say the least) The color is more intense than you can imagine, beautiful blue. I didn't realize it until I bought it, but the butterflies are not a print, they are separate felt butterflies that are attached to the dress with their "bodies/thorns" and the wings are not glued, giving a unique 3D effect.
