Good looks, poor fit

Nice air intake but the screw holes are anything but suitable for fender mounts. Only 1 screw could be used. Also, a very tight fit, so to speak, blocks the front opening. You also have to bend the mount and it barely fits. For the money it should have been better.

Easy Air Intake for Spare Parts

This is a really good air intake, I replaced it with a built in K&N cold air intake. If you live in California you must contact Volant directly to obtain a CARB (EO#) sticker or you will not pass the smog. Also, there is no indication of how the front opening closes when a tube is attached. Obviously the hole needs to be sealed, but I couldn't find the information anywhere in the documentation or product photos.

Funny, but great

Very easy to install, except for aligning the screws on the bottom you have to unscrew and bend the metal rod that goes through the inlet to fit the new inlet. Also, I had them for a while and the valance silver plate was bent out - Due to heat deformation, if you only buy this part, not for the snorkel part, it's normal. To update. The shell will be deformed, which defeats the purpose of the snorkel, it must be made of the same plastic that the body is made of.

Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
