famous brand at a great price

The tip is larger than that of the largest slotted screwdriver. Love the fact that it has a long, flexible "lamp cord" and not a huge rubber cord like other irons.

Pros
  • 2.4 m cable
Cons
  • no power

I will be returning it

At first I thought I would like this iron and I was able to make perfect beaded lines in my stained glass window. After a week of use, the tip collapsed on both sides, leaving recessed pockets that rendered it unusable.

Pros
  • Mica Insulated Nichrome Heating Element
Cons
  • boring packaging

Works best in soldering and soldering irons

I love this soldering iron. I had two others that were useless, they just didn't generate enough heat to even melt the solder. This one also works great for small electronics work (although the tip size is really too big for that). Goodbye.

Pros
  • Mica insulated nichrome heating element for efficient heat transfer and peak temperature
Cons
  • Some little things
