Works as expected - Poor battery life

Daylight readable display. The battery life is about 6 hours. I could live with 12 hours of battery life for long rides. 6 hours is not enough. The Android phone app requires registration with an email address. Trip, he switched to the metric system. Disappointed with the attachment system provided with elastic rubber bands to keep the device on the handlebars. The charging port is not available when the device is mounted on the steering wheel. It would be helpful if the charging port was on…

Display has no contrast

This device has broken. It has GPS and can communicate with your phone and Ant+ devices. That's more than your average Cateye or Sigma cycle computer can do for the same price. I have a display problem. The viewing angle is not great. There is a lack of contrast when viewed directly, especially when the backlight is on. It seems to be adjusted so that the contrast is optimal when viewed at an angle. I thought that maybe it was installed that way because the device can be mounted in front of the

Still a good calculator!

Today I used the Xoss G+ for the first time. I mounted my hybrid bike on an indoor trainer and used the cadence, speed and heart rate sensors. As far as I can tell, everything went well. Accuracy seemed good but I'm still working on it. Sensors all connected quickly with no problems. The device measured speed, cadence, and heart rate, but not time or distance. Of course, you need to move with GPS for this. The GPS connected quickly when I took the device outside and continued to show a mediocre

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

If you *just* want to ride outdoors, view live data from wireless sensors, and report those routes and activities to Strava, this is a good device and a good deal to have. It's well made, the accuracy matches my Garmin watch and the battery life seems good. The mount is very rigid so the rubber bands stretch quite a bit when removing/installing. I suspect a front mount is required if you don't want those straps to stretch and lose your device. The app is buggy, you often have to restart it or…

Reliable cheap bike GPS for beginners

I wanted to buy a bike computer/GPS instead of a phone as it uses a lot of power, especially on long rides. I originally bought a Garmin watch but returned it because I didn't really need all the extra features. I looked online, did a little research and came across the Xoss brand. I watched the video on YouTube and there wasn't much information but the reviews here convinced me to buy it and there was a lightning fast $25 deal so I said why not. I had the first xoss for about 3 days and it…
