Description of WARN 22680 Quick Connect Plug

One pair Quick Connect plugs for 2-4 gauge cable. Allows convenient connection and disconnection to the battery power source. 175 amp capacity. For winches over 6,000 lbs capacity. These connectors are not "male and female" they are identical and will interconnect with each other and with any WARN connector of the same size.

Serves its purpose but is expensive.

$40 might seem like a lot for a plug, but it's big, heavy, and well built. However, $40 is a lot. But this is the US - stimulate the consumer with accessories. They all do. ($20 for a phone cord! That's a steal.) At least this jack looks like it's going to cost at least $25.

Worked great for a 36 foot extension cord

I have a 36 foot extension cord with 1/0 weld wire for a Warn Xeon 10k mounted on my receiver -Winch built. They worked great for my needs. The only issue I had was that my cable was too big so I had to trim some copper off the ends to ensure a nice clean soldering in the end connectors. For those interested, I built a cable to power the winch on the back of my flat bed trailer as needed. I was a little concerned that the power dissipation would be too much, but it works the same as with a 6ft…

Product of Great Warn in Towing & Winches

I have used 3 of these kits. I have an external connection to my truck's battery which is next to my included 12K winch. Anything I want to connect to the battery I connect to jumper leads and other DC wired devices that fit into an external jack on the truck so I don't have to open the truck hood. Remember that the metal inserts that fit into the connectors (where you will solder the cable) are large enough for patch cord sized wires. For smaller wires like 10 or 12 gauge I suggest you heat…
