WARN 22680 Quick Connect Plug Review

$40 might seem like a lot for a plug, but it's big, heavy, and well built. However, $40 is a lot. But this is the US - stimulate the consumer with accessories. They all do. ($20 for a phone cord! That's a steal.) At least this jack looks like it's going to cost at least $25.

I have a 36 foot extension cord with 1/0 weld wire for a Warn Xeon 10k mounted on my receiver -Winch built. They worked great for my needs. The only issue I had was that my cable was too big so I had to trim some copper off the ends to ensure a nice clean soldering in the end connectors. For those interested, I built a cable to power the winch on the back of my flat bed trailer as needed. I have used 3 of these kits. I have an external connection to my truck's battery which is next to my included 12K winch. Anything I want to connect to the battery I connect to jumper leads and other DC wired devices that fit into an external jack on the truck so I don't have to open the truck hood.
