I love trying different techniques in my art. I tried another set of real brush pens that I didn't like. This is definitely an update. These are bold, vibrant colors that blend seamlessly into one another. The water brush is ideal for blending. I had another set that didn't work well with the water brush, but this set is different. Watercolors can get messy in my opinion. =) With these pens there is a much lower chance of soiling both the paper and the table. They need to be shaken, otherwise some of the color will come out a bit uneven. The included water pen is a great idea. The paint is a bit thicker than watercolor and then use a water pen to dilute the paint and make it more like watercolor. I have a pretty difficult creative mind, but recently got into a bulletproof magazine and want to improve it, but on a budget. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the watercolor pencils I practice with, but I still wanted to feel the brush and the variety in the color palette. This set is very good for the price.
