Unlike similarly designed stoppers, this one has an O-ring (tubular rubber band) that prevents one or both wings from popping out. Is it worth the extra few bucks not to clean half a bottle of spilled champagne out of the fridge? I think so. However, if you don't store open bottles horizontally, you might want to go the cheaper route. Note: not suitable for non-sparkling wines.
