Limited Lifetime. The chrome wears away on each inside edge, coating the neck of the bottle and getting caught in the rubber part. There are no stainless steel versions of this item. Both prices refer to the same article in chromed metal. One on the map, one in the pocket. Clearing the finish doesn't happen instantly, so you have some time. If you don't mind swallowing chrome flakes, then do it.

Great bottle opener, unlike those with narrow contact surfaces. The sealing function works perfectly. A 22 ounce bottle of ale, 1/3 full, did not go bad or change the taste after 24 hours. The same bubbling process and foam when pouring. It's likely I usually save 1/2, which works well too and might last longer than a less filled bottle, and of course a partially filled 12oz bottle will last even better (although it doesn't).

I really like this simple but competent device. It's a three-in-one tool for everything (in one bottle) you're going through! Take it to open the cap of the beer. If it fits in your hand, it's like it was made just for that job. Easy! If you prefer to unscrew your tea leaves with a screw cap, simply place, press and unscrew. Easy!
