Expensive power cord

Great Intellicord! Turns out he's not that smart after all! So what's in the box, so to speak: 1- You get a cigarette lighter plug with two LEDs (one to indicate power and one to indicate the radar is on). a button to control two separate controls on the radar detectors (S1 and S2), I have yet to learn how to use the second stack (S2). Options like auto-quiet, dark mode, etc. that you need to select when setting up your speed camera detector. However, I only get the automatic mode. 3. It…

Great cable, perfect companion for your radar detector.

I bought this cable although the cable that came with the radar detector (Whistler Pro78) was still fully functional. The reason for this is that I hated having to reach up to change modes and/or mute/unmute the radar detector when driving white (depending on what car you have and where the radar detector is installed , this may take a long time). Also, I drive a manual transmission car, so I'd rather keep my hand next to the shifter than reach up. Not. I prefer this as it's easier for me to…

That works great! Read the Whistler Detector User Manual

It is programmable. The button on the Intellicord allows you to control two (2) functions in the radar parameter selection menu. However, you must set it up to perform the two (2) desired functions. For those complaining, it only does one thing or the other: RTFM - read the manual. See the Intellicord Ready section for instructions. I set mine to go into SILENT mode with one (1) short press and go into CITY MODE with one press. the music I play and with Intellicord I can easily decide if I…

just another plug-in speed camera detector

It just disables the alarm. The cord isn't long enough to wrap around the edge of the windshield and it simply plugs into the cigarette lighter and lets you reach the silence, not the detector. On my Escort 8500 detector the smart cord can be hardwired, the cable is long enough to wrap around the windshield and allows the detector to sit alongside the rearview mirror with an alarm indicator and mute button on a small module that can be fitted next to it to remain hidden from the steering wheel…

Nice but painful

I have mixed feelings about this cable. On the one hand, I love the indicators on the plug, and I love being able to power (or recycle) my radar detector with a cord. But on the other hand, the problem is when it comes to muting and turning off the power. There were no instructions, but I figured it was "press once to turn off, two to turn off the sound" and I keep toggling it, not off. My radar detector is a Pro68se which claims to be compatible so this might just be annoying. I'll try "short…
