Not 0-15psi

Arrived with the needle set for hard pressure on the zero pin so it took about 2psi to move it off the pin. I'm interested in 0-5psi so I had to take it apart and bend the needle to get it at the 2psi mark. Now I can read -2 to +13 psi. I can't comment on how well calibrated or accurate it is.

One damaged, second (spare) working fine

I bought a brand new one locally and it doesn't read more than 5psi. Done at 30psi and still reading 5psi. Not impressed. I will try a replacement. Update 12/19/15: The first sensor either fell down or was damaged during transport. It turned out that the white metal sensor inside was bent up/out due to damage, preventing the needle from getting past it. It was very difficult to see the damage in 3D when you can actually only see 2D when looking directly at the sensor. It was only when I put it…

Faulty pressure gauge that caused the test to fail

OK, I just failed the gas pressure test because this gauge is junk. Before calling the inspector, I installed it on the gas line and pressurized the system to 10 pounds, which is what the inspector wanted. The system handled 10psi overnight so the inspector was called the next morning. He walked over and looked at the gauge and it was still reading 10psi until he tapped the gauge and it immediately dropped to 8psi. The inspector failed the system. Turns out the SENSOR WAS SHOT AT 10 PSI! I…
