Description of Settlers Rug Pins: Pack of 6 Rug Anchors for Securing Overlapping Rugs - Anti-Slip Pins for Mats, Runners, Plastic Sheets, and Throws

Please see the pictures before purchasing this product. Make sure the combined thickness of overlay and underlay do not exceed a total thickness of 1 inch, as our rug settlers work best for that thickness. Designed to secure the rugs in position while placed over a carpet or a mat. These pins actually runs from the top rug to the underlying carpet and keep the both along with each other. The top portion is contoured according to the fingers to offer more grip while pushing it. Large rounded margins make it user friendly and clear surface makes it less visible. Please read the complete description before purchasing it.

I would definitely buy again if I needed

These are the ONLY things that will solve my carpet to carpet problem. You have to stick the forks into the carpet and fold the carpet. There is a possibility of damage. But there is a big trap. Even lying on a flat surface, it's easy to trip over the plastic pads or just pinch your toes. Auiii. But mostly they protect me (rug to rug). It's better than tripping on carpet. UPDATE: The nails allow the carpet to move a bit, but I think the poor quality of the carpet in my apartment keeps it from…

Works as advertised

I don't know why people are giving bad reviews for this product. I think because they don't know how to install them. You need strong fingers and a basic understanding of the mechanics. They need to be pushed through the corner of the carpet and then fixed. I'm guessing people can't block them by dropping the pin to the bottom of the carpet. If you do it right, it should lay flat on the carpet. But that's only half the setup. Now you need to pierce the rug AND run it to the level of the…

Pros
  • For attaching rugs to rugs or mats
Cons
  • Not as thick as other tiebacks

Expensive but great carpet mat solution

This product is AMAZING and just what I was looking for. I bought some rug runners to lay out rugs in high traffic areas. The runner slowly slid to one side of the hall, creating a huge trip hazard, and I got tired of moving the runner to the middle every other day. I looked through many product listings and came across carpet anchors. You have to slide them through the skids or rug and then into your main rug - by picking up both rugs you can flip the hook to slot them in and lay flat. It's…

Pros
  • These pins actually go from top to bottom carpet and hold them together
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Works perfectly! (Now a 7 month update.)

Thanks to JFK's review, I decided to buy it. We have an 8ft runner in a high traffic zone that always went sideways when stepping on it. He also got lost while moving. We would have to reset it at least 4 times a day. I only used 3 of the 6 pins on the top of the drive/travel direction and the slider didn't move at all. It took a bit of trial and error to get the pins/roller where I wanted them because the slider was so long. But when installed correctly, they work great! As with JFK, I pushed…

Well made, durable, safe to use questionable

This product is well made from durable materials and designed as you would expect. I'm using two of the four I originally installed at this point. The rug is held fairly flat with just two needles. I removed two more needles when my bare food was poked through her plastic face in the middle of the night. The edges are quite narrow and could potentially cut your foot if you hit the edge. The edges are curved but still quite flimsy when kicking sideways with your bare foot. If the shoes were only

Pros
  • Large rounded edges make it user-friendly, while the transparent surface makes it less visible.
Cons
  • So far so good
