Wix 49310 Air Filter Review

I use Wix oil filters on my 2013 Lexus ES300H and I think they do the job well. I decided to try Wix engine air filters based on YouTube comparisons from a guy who works on a farm. This Wix filter seems to be very well made (in Mexico). Only time will tell how it works. I should be able to understand this somewhat based on the fact that I track my gas mileage. If wrinkles are important to you I would suggest sticking with the OEM filter as I actually found it at Revane for a few bucks less than

I expected better workmanship from WIX; The black rubber surrounding the filter looks poorly formed and is partially stuck to the paper element, which certainly affects airflow to some extent. . The original Toyota filter I'm replacing looks a lot cleaner and isn't as pretty as the WIX. I have never bought WIX so I don't know if this is what WIX filters are meant to look like or if I have a fake product. I bought it here at Revain. WIX should work better.

I purchased this from Revain in May 2020. I'm pretty sure it was said at the time that it would fit a Toyota RAV4 for my wife's model (2013). I installed it shortly after and encountered no problems with it. I haven't checked and she hasn't changed the oil since (she doesn't do more than 7500 miles a year; less this year because of Covid) so no one has looked at it.
