The effect I'm looking for is a lightweight, cozy neck warmer like a turtleneck that I can wear indoors in winter and wear outside with any shirt on cooler days spring through fall. I bought 2 packs and the holes on each end are not as big and stretchy as the rest of the item. Makes the ends tight and not stretchy. I hope they stretch a lot when I wear them. But they might just leave a red ring around my head/face. The material is soft and quite dense. I'll let you know in a week if I've been able to use them successfully.

As other one star reviewers have said, they are very tight at each end and loose in the middle. The material is similar to pantyhose. I couldn't comfortably fit the ends on my regular sized head (hat size 7.5) so instead of just throwing it away I cut off the tight top and bottom, but the material came loose and frayed. Even with the tight ends removed, the texture of the material makes me uncomfortable, so I don't use it.

I wear alligators every day from November to March. It's a high quality nylon (maybe there's spandex in it too because the material feels soft and stretchy?). Diameter 16 inches, length 18 inches. The material is very soft (similar to women's silk underwear. Sorry for the comparison, that's the only thing I could think of!). I also love all the colors to choose from. One more thing, when I drag/stretch the diameter it stretches to 24 inches.
