Facilitates the work of cutting and dicing.

I have other Wüsthof knives and love them. I always thought a knife is a knife and they were all pretty much the same. That's when I got my first Wüsthof knife and realized that not all knives are the same. If you cut a lot, it's important to have a knife that easily cuts vegetables and fruit. These knives are worth the money. He's extremely sharp.

Expensive but worth every penny

Our 7 inch version of this knife was by far our most used kitchen knife. The price of this 5 inch version seemed like a luxury to me and in fact I looked at it many years ago. take a decisive step. We've had it for less than a month, but it's already the most used kitchen knife. 7 inches are now used much less frequently. I've always found it difficult, or at least difficult, to sharpen kitchen knives. The advantage of these knives is that they do not need to be sharpened for years. It has been

Pros
  • Convenient item

I have several kitchen knives and prefer the Santoku design to a regular chef's knife. Since I've never owned a Wüsthof, the price didn't really matter to me. I knew it was a reputable manufacturer, but I'm picky about how knives feel in my hand. This knife is heavier and you can feel it. I like the concave edge as the food slides right off the blade. Remember that any knife loses its sharpness over time, so you'll need to give the sharpener a few hits before you cut just to set it straight. I…

It feels like it was made just for my hand

Quality knife. I have owned the Wüsthof Classic Santoku for a few years and it has become my favorite knife. I always wash my knives by hand. There are several cracks on the handle. I know I can, and will, send it back to Wüsthof with a lifetime guarantee. This knife makes my old utility knife so cheap in comparison. This knife is perfectly balanced and very sharp. I looked around for something to carve. I found half a lemon and made a few thin slices with a knife. He went through that lemon…

Slightly different than the 7 piece knives

I didn't realize that the hollow edge on my Ikon cream knives (the one with the hollow edge) has any effect on cut food not sticking. Still, I LOVE these knives. This one fits my daily needs perfectly and is the one I use the most. The only other comment I have is that I received the 7 piece set as a wedding gift and the handle of the santoku is slightly different than the rest of the set. Others have smoother plastics, this one seems to have a bit more texture. Not sure if it's intentional or…

  • Protection

This is my favorite knife in my kitchen. It's so convenient to use. It is balanced, light and has a perfect grip shape. The blade runs along its entire length. This knife keeps my hands from getting tired when working with sculpts like the one I made for a book club on Halloween while we were reading Stephen King's It pictured below. Pennywise has never been this sane. People didn't dare eat it. Strange. ;) Along with your serrated bread knife, boning knife and paring knife you have a…

Exceptional knife.

This is my first purchase from Wüsthof. I currently have a set of Henckels knives and wanted to add a 7" Santoku chef's knife to my collection to give it a new twist. The Wüsthof Ikon Classic Santoku has an incredibly sharp edge and cuts through soft tomatoes with ease. I cut myself without knowing it because the blade was so sharp. I like how ergonomic the Santoku handle is in my hand, the knife is very balanced. I couldn't swing this knife as far as my classic cutting knives, so this knife…
