Not as advertised!: Inverter

I read all the reviews, read all the information and watched the video of this inverter with a 1600w element so I thought it would suit my needs , since I am only occasionally charged with 2000 watts. But this inverter couldn't handle the 500w load let alone the 1600w load I was trying to use. So that's the reason for the one star. Now back to my search for an inverter of 3500w or more that can actually handle the load it is rated for.

Reliable it is in Tools & Equipment

Hi I am using a heavy duty 3000w inverter with four 6v batteries (gauge 235) connected in series with 4 gauge wire, to get 12 VDC. I also installed 2 mppt controllers of 40 amps each. One of the mppt controller has 2 x 100w monocrystalline panels connected in series, the other mppt controller has 2 polycrystalline panels also connected in series for a total of 470w. Works like clockwork. I have a fridge with 10 9w leds and also a tv which all worked fine after the big storm Maria in Puerto…

Excellent value for money and quality!

5 stars. It may not be the brightest inverter, but you can't beat its price ($260). It comes with only a manual, replaceable 40 amp fuse and cables that seem undersized for a 3000 watt inverter. I'm currently using 4 gauge wire with a 150 amp fuse, so I can't drive this thing to 3000 watts (which would require a 2/0 wire), but I still ran the heater and fridge at the same time . I'm offline in a converted solar powered school bus so this is super cool! So far the sine wave is good and stable…

Electric Vehicle Backup

Probable use is to connect to our Chevy Bolt electric car during a power outage to power the fridge and some lights. The car can run silently in a closed garage with extension cords and splitters inside. Simple - plug and play.

Very good product. Not as good as my other 3000w inverter which comes in an aluminum fin case but is also more expensive. This unit has nice big grommets for battery cables. The cables they supply (two for each +/-) I really won't be using as they will most likely struggle to handle the amount of current the inverter needs to output the maximum current. I used 0/1 for my batteries. I like the dual voltage indicators (battery and AC) on the front. I also like the access to 120v from the front…

The product meets the quality level expected of Chinese electronic products. Things work, but there is no added strength in the product. You have to spend twice as much for better quality. The product consumes EVEN WHEN IT IS SWITCHED OFF. I connected the product through a 250 amp switch and then through a double pole switch.
