For Prismacolor pencils, be firm but with a light hand, don't hold the pencil in your hands and it will sharpen to the perfect point! picture below. I have Prismacolor Premier, Faber Castell Polychromos, all 3 sets of Black Widow pencils (Black Widow, Scorpion and Cobra), Staedler, Artist Loft and Marco Raffine colored pencils . I can easily sharpen any note to an extremely sharp point. I have tried several manual and electric sharpeners. This X-Acto Bulldog does a great job.
