Better than Merrells and Vivobarefoot!

My wife and I started wearing minimalist sneakers 9 years ago after reading the book Born to Run. Then we started with Feiyue Kung Fu shoes. Our feet felt so strong that we decided to buy Xeroshoes 6mm running sandals - back then, Xeroshoes was called "Invisible Shoes". We loved these sandals so much that we wore them everywhere for the next 4 years and eventually switched to their thinner (3mm) sandals. Then, when the Merrell Vapor Glove came out, we tried it on and fell in love all over again

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Will do

I have problems with my feet

When I was in my twenties, both my heels broke. I have a lifelong problem with shoes. When I found these flats I was in no rush to buy BC. I bought so many shoes thinking I would solve problems quickly. Well I ordered them and when they arrived my wife took them to the hospital the same day. I was released after breaking my hip. I notice immediately, even though I can't walk without a walker, that there's a big difference with flat shoes. For the next 3 weeks I just put on a pair of BC…

I've ditched my usual soft shoes since discovering Xero shoes.

I currently own a couple of Z-Treks, Hana and Prio. These shoes have enabled me to throw out almost every other pair of shoes I own, with the exception of the Merrell gloves, which I use exclusively for running. The Xero shoes meet all my other shoe/sandal needs but I can definitely walk in them. Having fully adjusted to barefoot shoes, I really hate wearing a 'normal' shoe with a pointed toe, foam, heel-to-toe drop and hard upper. My posture, balance, core strength and running technique have…

  • Good but not great
