This is a great value garage welder for the price, it required some attention to assemble and run, make sure to get 6011 rods for this machine if you are a weekend warrior like me, me put it on I don't know what you can't do, you can weld 7018 rods with an AC welder. After a few days of trying I figured the welding isn't that hard. 20 years ago, back in the workshop, I did a little research and found out! So to avoid banging your head on the wall, get 6011 sticks and it works great!

Ehh. The Stinger and ground clip suck, but most of them are in this price range. The wires are almost so short they're almost unusable, and frankly, awfully thin for something advertised as a 250 amp welder. I probably spent a total of 3 hours on this machine due to its inconvenience to use. If you have 115/120V, you'd better connect it to a dedicated 50 amp switch. Otherwise, even at 1/16 6013, you'll have a hard time walking through a bead. Honestly save your money and find one of the port…

Hey I couldn't be happier for the price. It welds really really well. I'm a game fish so I mostly weld on rusty trailers and rigging on my boat All the welds I make are at or below 125 and I would highly recommend the welder to anyone who just needs basic AC welding.
