Works as good as it looks! And it looks pretty sharp!

I have big hands so this is actually the perfect size for most kitchen needs like chopping vegetables or getting larger tasks done. The handle was perfectly balanced, very well and I get comments every time I use it. Great for everyday use. I recommend!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Minor issues

Do not use as a knife!

It's sharp and quite functional for a commercial kitchen. But it doesn't have a hardened edge. I used it as a cleaver to break the ribs, but the blade was dented. So not to be used as a cleaver. I've already reworked and reworked it. This is a pretty good knife for the kitchen.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Safety

Bumpy, chunky and difficult to handle

It's technically sharp but the photos don't do a good job of showing how thick the knife's blade is. The bevels are set at a very aggressive angle, making it difficult to press anything down, and are generally just uneven. The handle has no shape at all and is just a block, it was difficult to use even with big hands. I returned it.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Very good. Not exactly a chef's knife, but worth the money

I like the knife very much with a few exceptions. The metal is brittle. When I used it to cut ribs I hit the bone and instead of bending the edge of the blade it made a hole in it. It was small, barely noticeable, and I fixed it with a little work. This is a very sharp knife and for certain purposes it's just great. Cut a tomato without sweating.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Hand Forged Chef's Knife XYJ 8 inch - AWESOME!

XYJ Hand forged 8 inch carbon steel chef's knife. This is a great knife and a great deal at these prices. Ideal for everyday use in the kitchen or outdoors, e.g. B. when grilling and camping; and self-defense in emergencies. Has weight and grace. A Viking would be proud to own one. The sheath is discreet and a very nice addition, especially since the knife is very sharp and pointed. With proper care and storage, there is no reason why your grandchildren should not inherit this from you and use…

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • flimsy

Great knife, nice metal feel, solid workmanship.

I use it for cooking at work. We don't cut anything a chef could cut, but my chef and I do cut bread, vegetables, cooked meats, pizza, hot dogs, etc. The knife arrived very sharp, but due to a lot of use, it lost its sharpness after 5 days. It wasn't dull, in fact it was still sharp, just not as sharp. So I sharpened it and found that you have to be very, very careful when using a scissor-style ceramic sharpener or you'll end up with little nicks on the edges of the blades. If done carefully…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

All in all a decent knife for the money.

For the price I wasn't expecting much when I bought this knife and it didn't exceed my expectations in the slightest. Like I said, I really like it. It cuts like a dream and I use it often to make cooking easier in the kitchen, slicing fruits and vegetables and meat. The knife is razor sharp and easy to sharpen, the steel is softer. The grip is blocky but not uncomfortable and fits most grips. After washing, it must be dried immediately, otherwise it will rust. The real downside to this knife…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
