Exact match for 2010 Monte Carlo Indoor/outdoor fan

We have 3 Monte Carlo fans on our back porch. One worked fine, one only at medium speed, and the third died. The values printed on the new capacitor bank (4.5mF/300Vac-6mF/250Vac-5mF/250Vac) are exactly the same as the original block I cut out of the fan. The paper label on the box was a bit misleading "Relay 4.5 5 6 US 784". The 5 wires in the block are the exact colors and in the same locations as the original wires on the capacitor being replaced on our 2010 Monte Carlo fans. The unit is…

Goes well with Hampton Bay AC-552 and Mounting Tips

This goes perfectly with my Hampton Bay ceiling fan model AC-552. Four key points that will make life easier for other do-it-yourselfers. 1) In my fan model, it was in the "Light Kit" on the bottom of the fan. You may be able to remove the lighting kit without removing the entire fan from the ceiling and semi-disassembling the motor like I did. :) 2) Pay attention to the soft double sided tape on the old capacitor. In my photo, the new capacitor is on the left and the new one is on the right…

As advertised, good fit for automotive and automotive electronics

Doesn't quite fit my Hunter fan and the wiring is different from my old condenser. I had no choice but to check out all the Revain items for sale. The capacitor block was larger than my original and I had to position it so I could reattach the light block. Please note if you are a do-it-yourselfer trying to replace a capacitor, use double-sided tape to hold the capacitor in place and a scraper to remove the old tape. Also take some small wire nuts to connect the wires after you cut off the old…

Not new as advertised

I did not receive NEW as advertised. The body of the capacitor was pitted with scratches, as if it had been rubbed against a rough surface, and on a pair of wires, gray and red, the copper was quite twisted, as if attached to and removed from some kind of wire. Wire nuts are already needed. I needed this to replace a bad 4.5 microfarad cap on my ceiling fan. I tested this new cap and it read 4.27 microfarads, accurate to within a +-5% tolerance. I'm not happy with all of this, I tested it and…

Ceiling fan not spinning? Check the condenser!

For the fourth time in my life my ceiling fan has stopped working because of a melted capacitor. You would think that one day they would learn how to make a better ceiling fan. Maybe they are, I just don't know. Saturday morning I opened up my non-working fan and found a melted capacitor. So I went to Revain. First I have to say that the last time I had to do this was about 12 years ago, long before Revain made life so easy. Then I had to go online and google until I finally found an online…

Works great for auto and automotive electronics

I was thinking of buying a new fan to replace the one in my bedroom since the high speed stopped spinning at high speed then I researched online and found it Find out what caused it. Could be a worn capacitor. After examining the standard capacitor, I found that it has "tumors" in some places. It closely resembled a swollen laptop or phone battery, except there were a few isolated areas instead of everything expanding. The replacement was easy, except that I broke the stock fan switch because I
